The meeting focused on ensuring seamless coordination among departments for the successful and dignified conduct of the national event at the UT and district levels.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by Director General of Police (DGP) Anand; Secretary School Education Department, Bhanu Prabha; Secretary, Public Works Department, Baser-ul-Haq Choudhary; Secretary, General Administration Department, Rudra P. T. Goud; Special Secretary, Home Department; representatives of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Indian Air Force; Director Health Services; Scientists from the National Informatics Centre (NIC); and senior officers of various departments. Deputy Commissioners of all districts joined the meeting virtually.<\/p>\n<p>At the outset, Secretary, General Administration Department, Rudra P. T. Goud, presented a detailed action plan outlining the preparations for the Independence Day celebrations. The presentation covered the programme timeline, parade and security arrangements, band performances, illumination, hospitality, public address system, media coordination, invitation management, reception arrangements, venue decoration, flag hoisting ceremony, traffic management and overall coordination among departments.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5551\" src=\"https:\/\/nctvbharat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Leh_CS-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"284\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nctvbharat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Leh_CS-2.png 550w, https:\/\/nctvbharat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Leh_CS-2-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Reviewing the preparations, the Chief Secretary directed all concerned departments to ensure that arrangements for the celebrations are completed well in advance. He instructed the district administrations to finalise invitation lists, seating plans and venue management with due care and ensure that all logistical arrangements are in place before August 12 for final inspection.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Secretary stressed the need for close coordination among the civil administration, Ladakh Police, ITBP, the Indian Army, the Indian Air Force and other security agencies to ensure smooth conduct of the celebrations. He reviewed the security arrangements, parade contingents and ceremonial protocols, and directed the concerned departments to maintain the highest standards of coordination and preparedness.<\/p>\n<p>Emphasising the participation of youth and educational institutions, the Chief Secretary directed that school contingents, cultural troupes and representatives from all seven districts of the Union Territory should participate in the celebrations to showcase Ladakh&#8217;s rich cultural diversity and strengthen the spirit of national integration.<\/p>\n<p>He also reviewed arrangements for medical assistance, emergency services, power backup, webcast facilities, sound systems, ceremonial vehicles and other essential infrastructure. The concerned departments were instructed to ensure uninterrupted services and adequate contingency measures during the celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Secretary also reviewed preparations for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and directed all Deputy Commissioners to launch extensive awareness and outreach programmes in their respective districts. He instructed the district administrations to organise activities under the campaign from August 11 to 15 in collaboration with the Indian Army, ITBP, educational institutions and other stakeholders to encourage widespread public participation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5552\" src=\"https:\/\/nctvbharat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Leh_CS-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nctvbharat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Leh_CS-3.png 550w, https:\/\/nctvbharat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Leh_CS-3-300x167.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He further directed that all Government offices and public buildings across the Union Territory be appropriately illuminated and adorned with the National Flag in accordance with the Flag Code of India. Deputy Commissioners were instructed to ensure active participation of schools, government institutions and local communities in the celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Secretary emphasised that the 80th Independence Day celebrations should reflect the spirit of patriotism, unity and public participation. He called upon all departments to work in close coordination and ensure the successful, safe and befitting celebration of the national occasion across Ladakh. The meeting concluded with directions to all departments and district administrations to closely monitor the progress of preparations and ensure timely completion of all assigned responsibilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leh.
