Training Programme on SIR 2025 Conducted for AEROs, BLO Supervisors & BLOs Across

Leh.

The District Election Office, Leh, successfully conducted a week-long training programme for Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and BLO Supervisors across various blocks of Leh district as part of the preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025 at Leh and Nuba. Held from November 3 to 7, 2025, the programme aimed to strengthen the electoral machinery and ensure accuracy, inclusiveness, and transparency in the electoral rolls.

The first session, conducted on November 3, focused on participants from the Durbuk and Nyoma blocks. The training provided hands-on experience in mapping, self-progeny verification, and the use of the BLO App for real-time data management.

On Day 2 sessions were organized in two parts-Session I for Leh & Saspol and Session II for Khaltsi & Kharu-at the Conference Hall, DC Office, Leh. Facilitated by Aftikar Ali, Tsewang Dolma, Sonam Chorol, and Chozin Palmo, the sessions focused on clarifying the roles of Booth Level Agents (BLAs), addressing BLO App-related issues, and strengthening understanding of field-level duties under SIR 2025.

The training continued on November 6 and 7 at Diskit and Sumoor, respectively, led by Stanzin Spaldon and Sumera Kosar. These sessions aimed to equip field functionaries with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively carry out voter verification, inclusion, and correction drives in their respective areas.

During the final session for Sumoor, Tashi Chosstak, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), highlighted the vital role of BLOs in maintaining transparency and integrity throughout the electoral roll revision process. He underscored the importance of accuracy, diligence, and public trust in ensuring a credible and error-free electoral roll.

The series of training sessions concluded successfully, significantly enhancing the preparedness of electoral staff across all tehsils of Leh district.
